Engine Hemi (Hydrogen car engines)

You will find that many people love driving around for pleasure and for the thrill of speed. To provide this burst of fun the engine of the car needs to be at full capability. You can find many different designs of car engines. An interesting design that can sometimes be seen is that of the engine Hemi or as it should correctly be called the hemispherical engine.

This engine is the innovation of the Chrysler car company. The design of the engine promotes more power to enter the engine as the air and fuel ignition takes place in an efficient manner. You will find that this engine shape, which is unusual, is more popular in cars which are made during the early part of the century.

When you look at the engine Hemi you will notice that it is shaped differently

than the usual wedge shaped one. While the design is unusual you will find that it more efficient as it allows more air through the combustion chamber. As this design is considered quite good you will find that many other car manufacturers besides Chrysler are using it.

Among the various cars in which you will find an engine Hemi is that of the Peugeot 403, BMWs, Stutz, Bristol cars, the Toyota T engine and others. These cars which were named belong to a class of cars from yesteryear which used the engine Hemi to great effect.

To travel forward in time we see that Porsche, Jaguar, Alfa Romeo, Daimler and Riley. These are just a few of the brand name cars which use the engine Hemi design. While these cars have all used various forms of this hemispherical design the newest version was produced in 2003 by Chrysler.

This particular version of the engine Hemi is available in sizes. These sizes are 5.7 and 6.1 liters. To help car owners with get an improved economy in fuel some versions of the 5.7 liter engine Hemi will be fitted with a variable displacement technology. This technology is called the MDS or to be precise Multi-Displacement System.

You can also find the engine Hemi being produced

as a crate engine. This type of engine will have 6.4 liters of fuel capacity and a 505 horsepower engine. What this means is that the engine Hemi is one that is undergoing fantastic new changes. The next time that you are in a car you may want to look under the hood to see if your car has been outfitted with an engine Hemi shaped in design.
